“Psychotherapy creates space for people to slow down, understand themselves more deeply, and move through life with greater clarity and freedom.” - Cosmin Fatu
A grounded and compassionate approach
Over the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of working with adults and teens navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, addiction, life transitions, self-worth issues, and deeper questions around meaning, purpose, and identity. My approach combines evidence-based psychotherapy with mindfulness, self-awareness, and a deep respect for each person's unique lived experience. While professional training has given me the knowledge and tools to support others, much of what shapes my work comes from my own journey.
I was born in Romania and immigrated to Canada as a teenager. I experienced periods of depression, low self-esteem, and the feeling that no amount of achievement or self-improvement could bring lasting peace. Those experiences sparked a lifelong search to better understand the nature of suffering, not only through Western and Eastern psychology and psychotherapy, but through contemplative practices like mediation and direct personal inquiry. That search ultimately taught me that inner peace isn't found in changing the content of experience but in changing the way you relate to it. This is what fundamentally changed my life and it is this change that fuels my desire to help others.
Today, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience into the therapy room. I don't speak only from textbooks or theory, but from a place of having walked through many of the same struggles myself. My goal is to offer a compassionate and grounded space where you can experience meaningful change, reconnect with your true self, and move towards life with greater clarity, resilience, and inner freedom.
