“Psychotherapy creates space for people to slow down, understand themselves more deeply, and move through life with greater clarity and freedom.” - Cosmin Fatu

A grounded and compassionate approach

Over 15 years I've worked with adults and teens navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional overwhelm, relationship struggles, life transitions, addiction, self-worth issues, and existential questions around meaning and identity. My approach combines evidence-based psychotherapy with mindfulness, self-awareness, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience.

Education & Professional Training

I hold multiple graduate degrees in psychology and counselling, including:

  • Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychology — University of Massachusetts Boston

  • Master of Science (M.S.) in Psychology, with a focus on Trauma — Walden University

  • Master of Arts (M.A.) in Counselling Psychology — Yorkville University

I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and continue to engage in ongoing professional development and clinical learning. I am also a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, and mindfulness-based approaches are integrated throughout my work when appropriate to the client’s goals and needs.

“Real change happens when insight is combined with presence, compassion, and the willingness to face what we avoid.” — Cosmin Fatu
